It was another VERY hot day for the Art on the Grass show in Carp, Ontario. Thanks to
everyone who came out to visit - it was a very successful show. I think I sat down for 5 minutes and this is it! I will definitely be there again next year. I'm now looking forward to the cooler fall weather and the changing of the leaves. You must come and visit for my Open Studio on Thanksgiving Weekend to see not just my art, but the glorious maples that surround my studio in the woods! This is the first show in which I will be exhibiting since I moved to Perth Ontario. It's located at the Carp Farmer's Market just west of Ottawa. Let's hope the summer weather continues because it is an outdoor show.
We moved from Ottawa to the Perth area in the summer of 2015. Not a lot of painting was going on at that time because I was also commuting to Ottawa to work during the week. In the fall, we began building a little studio on our property, my dream come true! Here is a picture album of the process. In June, 2016, I retired from my day job as a social worker. I'm looking forward to spending a lot more time in the studio as I get my art life up and running again. Now my time will be divided between landscaping, painting and running. |
